Canadian Start-Up Second Closet Nets $500,000 Investment

July 18, 2017

The summer is smiling on the Second Closet team, who just raised a round of $500,000 from a team of investors including Hyatt. The company takes traditional storage model and personalizes it: instead of the client dropping off their items into an unused warehouse and leaving them for months – or years – the SC team operates on a per-item basis, and picks up, stores, and delivers said items on demand. Need that credenza back? The Second Closet team will bring it right to your door – and adjust your bill so it reflects only what’s currently in storage.

The Second Closet team plans to use the funding to scale marketing and operations, as the five-person team currently has 13 trucks operating in the Greater Toronto Area.
